Today article is about the animals that have backbones and without backbones. As you know that there are many various of animals in the world. Some of them have backbones, but some do not have. What does  backbones mean to you? The backbone is a row of different part of bone which cover by the skin a long the middle of the back of animals. And when the other bones attached to the backbone they form up the huge bone which is called "SKELETON". Any animals that have backbones are called a vertebrates. What about human? Do you think that you are one of the vertebrates?

Do you think these animals have backbones? All of the animals above have a hard outside covering, non of them have backbones. They are called invertebrates. Now look at the animals that have backbones, and they called vertebrates.

Fish


Fish has backbone, and they breathe through their gills and live in the water. The fish also has a special skin which is called "SCALES". The scales can protect the soft part of the fish. The fish's blood is always the same the temperature as the water where they live. For example: if the temperature of the water, equal 15degree and the temperature of water also 15 degree. In the other hand fish also has something strange that another animals do not have. They have fins.

However, We grouped fish into two big group. Sharks and rays are in a group because they have no real bones. Their skeletons are made of "CARTILAGE" which is softer than bone. And the other group has has bones most fish is belong in this group. And you can describe these fish apart by looking at the shape and the fins.

Amphibians 

Toads, frogs and salamanders are amphibians, they have backbones. Amphibians lay their eggs in water and they spend the early part of their life living there. A baby frog is called a "Tadpole". When they first live in water, they breathe through their gills. After they leave the water, they have lungs and can breathe the air on land.
